Founder of eConsultant, Willem is also a frequent speaker with a clear agenda to promote open source technologies in Africa. With years of experience in the IT industry and a keen sense for surfing the net and spotting the trends, he can see future gaps before they hit the South African web industry.
Irma Laas
Co-Owner and Marketing Manager
Irma is the Co-Owner and Marketing Manager of eConsultant. Apart from being an excellent Project Manager, she loves seeing results after implementing her Search Engine Optimisation skills on many of our websites. She's a Certified Adwords Professional, Certified Quirk eMarketer and did her Search Engine Optimisation course with Quirk Education. Irma spent 3 years traveling around Asia and doing her Chinese Language studies level 1 - 3.
Lauro Scott-Parkin
Lead Project and Account Manager
A world wide traveler in not just a 'web' sense, he is at home as Lead Project and Account Manager at eConsultant in South Africa, with clients the likes of Gijima, HESA, and SAMSA. Since 2006, Lauro has assisted in molding eConsultant to the company it is today, from steering team members through art direction, to scrumming projects for Blue Chip clients. Obtaining his BA in Graphic Design and Honours degree in Advertising while attending Midrand Graduate Institute, Lauro's career covers the full spectrum, from design to development, from project kick-off to client-side training and consulting.
Richard Banks
Head of the Drupal Development Department
Richard is head of the Drupal department tasked with creating online platforms using PHP, JScript and Jquery. An index of terms, news, Drupal tips, and what’s hot and not, he assists the entire team with daily tasks as well as the complex 'what-if's' that clients often ask. "Talk is cheap, action speaks louder than words".
Monique Williams
Designer / Developer / Project Manager
Monique was one of those students who, without really trying, matriculated with five distinctions. She's always been creatively driven and decided to take on a career in web design. Monique is a self taught website developer, senior graphic designer and became project manager for clients like Media24 and Goscor Group of Companies since she started at eConsultant in February 2008.
Bianca Afonso
Designer / Developer
As both designer and developer, she tends to feel more connected in her projects when she is hands on from start to finish. Skilled in Photoshop, Illustration, Drupal and ping-pong, Bianca also dabbles with her Wacom Graphics Tablet, enjoys inventing office pranks and keeping up team morale. While in her breaks between designs, her Guitar gently weeps her favorite riffs as long as her fingers can keep up.
Ilsoda Musa
Developer
A developer who studied Information Technology (ND: Web and Application Development) and Business Management (Cert: Business Management in Information Technology) at Tshwane University Of Technology, Ilsoda has over 2 years working experience with PHP, Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, Magento, and Java Script. And to add, his spare time consisted of studying ZEND framework.
Devoted Dube
Organiser / Hostess
Devoted has been with eConsultant from the beginning. She's responsible for the upkeep of the eConsultant offices. We'll be lost without her.
